Ever since Adam and I bought our Fitbits we’ve been on this “walk more” quest. Honestly though, its hard to live in Colorado and NOT walk, be active or be fit. Its basically impossible LOL. One of our weekend walks happened to be at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Little did I know that Red Rocks is both a concert venue, gym, photoshoot location, place to eat, place to walk, place to get married and place to hang out (to name a few). It was a fun day trip that gave us a pretty solid workout (there were SO many stairs!!!) LOL So let me take you on a visual adventure of our day trip.
We had some really nice weather in March but now in April its been very inconsistent. Some days are beautiful and some days its grey and rainy. This past weekend was pretty gloomy for example, today is gorgeous and now there is rain/thundershowers in the forecast for the rest of the week. Well, you know what they say “April showers bring May flowers”. I am really happy that the grass and trees are getting lots of water because everything is turning nice and green 😀
Not sure what was happening in Denver that day but there was quite a bit of smoke pouring out of the city. One of the things that I find FASCINATING about living here is how much you CAN see FOR MILES. For example, we are pretty far from downtown but you can still see it crystal clear. That is one of the things that I love about living here. In Virginia, it was a lot harder to have this much visibility… you had to travel far to see for miles (mostly you had to climb something!)
We ran into this fitness photoshoot! I love that the photographer has a teal Alien Bee light! (I have a hot pink one that I used for portraits and now use for food photography when natural light is scarce).
Below is a group of people who were getting told off by park rangers for climbing on the rocks when there were signs clearly posted NOT to do so. Tsk Tsk.
Below Adam’s photo vs my photo 🙂 Shot at the same time.
These little bunnies are everywhere! From what I hear they are pretty vicious, they are known to chew through car wiring at DIA (Denver Airport). I saw about 6 of them in my apartment complex today! They are adorable and when they want to hide from you, they bunker down and look like little rocks on the grass. Its hard to tell what they are! Amazing!
