Ah yes the beautiful Great Falls Park. Adam and I had visited this park on the Virginia side a few years ago but never on the Maryland side. Visiting Great Falls was on my bucket list of things to do before we moved out of Northern VA just like going up the Washington Monument was on Adam’s. I wanted to visit both sides of the park but in the end, we only had time to visit one side so we chose the side we had never been to. (BTW do you see the woman meditating in the photo below?)
I wanted to publish this blog back in October (shortly after we visited). Because it was early Fall, I wanted to show you what this beautiful park looked like with the leaves changing so that you could go visit. But then, with Adam moving to Colorado first and then me trying to sell off the things we no longer needed, it never happened. I then debated to publish it this Fall but honestly, I hate waiting that long to publish ANY blog post. By that point, editing the photos would have become a drag because the images would have been older and I no longer would have remembered what “mood” I was going for (yes, that is how I think LOL).
Regardless, Great Falls is such a beautiful park but it is quite crowded – more than I expected honestly. Adam and I made ourselves some nice sandwiches and ate them on a bench before walking around. The weather was quite nice and as you can see there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Also – can you believe all this beauty is located in a really densely populated part? Crazy!
Okay so lets start our tour of the park 🙂
