For days I had been thinking about dill and Greek Yogurt. I was pondering, brainstorming and planning on concocting healthier meals for myself rather than always resorting to bread and pasta as my “go-to” meal options. I really need to start cooking for a whole day and freeze all those meals so I don’t have to “resort” to my “easy” cooking options. Anyways, rant aside, I kept wondering how I could harness the healthy powers of Greek Yogurt to my advantage.
I decided to buy some dill, onions and chives and make this healthy Greek Yogurt dip. I’ve used it on a lot of foods… so much so that Adam calls it my “hummus” (reference to my Big Fat Greek Wedding movie) LOL 😛 Some examples where I’ve used the Greek Yogurt Dip are: as a dip for grilled chicken, as a spread on my burgers and on raw veggies. Seriously delish! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
- 1 cup non-fat greek yogurt
- 1.5 tbsp dill, chopped
- 1 tbsp chives, chopped
- 2-3 tbsp onion, chopped
- Chop the dill, chives and onion and place in a bowl. Mix in the greek yogurt til everything is evenly mixed. You may chill the dip overnight to allow the seasoning flavors to release and incorporate in the yogurt or you can serve it right away. Either way is delicious 🙂
- This dip is great with grilled chicken, veggies and as a spread on burgers (as a substitution for mayo)
