Happy Birthday Mom! I couldn’t go on without writing a little tribute post to the woman who inspired me to cook and love it my whole life. Ever since I could remember, my mom has made home cooked meals for us. She is an amazing cook (and I mean it!)! She finds so much passion in making meals for us and OMG she is an incredible baker! Every night when I lived at home she would make meals from scratch. How she did it, I have no clue. I only cook from scratch on weekends! And not only that, she packed my lunches all the way through my college graduation! She’s AWESOME!
My mom is Italian and got her cooking passion from my grandfather who is also an exceptional cook. I am so grateful for my family for so much. I am so sad that I cannot be with my mom on her birthday but I am so very much looking forward to Thanksgiving with my family (cats and all). I cannot wait to document the meal and some good family times! I know that people around the world will scream, “NOOOO!!!” but I really do think that Thanksgiving should be AT LEAST twice a year. Seriously.
Finally, I have to give a little shout out to that cute girl next to her. That’s Katie, one of my best friends and the inspiration to why I started blogging about food.
Happy November 16th!
