Carrots, Cucumbers and Peppers where perhaps the only fruit/veggies that I managed to successfully grow this year. The tomatoes totally flunked (bugs), the melon and eggplant never came out, the fennel grew thin and long and the onions rotted. We learned last year that when you plant carrots in a pot you have to pretty much let them be from the Spring to the Fall. I had honestly totally forgotten about the carrots til we were cleaning our deck out last weekend.
Well, with Thanksgiving just a few days away, it was perfect timing. I picked them all out (look at these beauties below) and gave them to my Mother In Law (she has a killer recipe for carrots) to prepare for Thanksgiving.
